Leon joined the Newgate Compliance team in April 2022 as a Senior Compliance Consultant.

Leon has worked in the finance industry for over 40 years, initially in retail banking in the UK, being transferred by the bank to Jersey and then Guernsey. Deciding upon a change of career, Leon moved into the Fiduciary sector and has worked for both large and medium trust companies in Guernsey, focusing on Compliance since the early 2000’s.

Leon holds the International Compliance Association (ICA) Diploma in Compliance and has the associations designation of FICA Certified Professional (Fellow of the International Compliance Association).

Leon has held senior compliance roles for many years, including Risk and Compliance Director and brings a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of regulatory and financial crime requirements.
