Paul joined Newgate Compliance as a Senior Compliance Consultant in 2023 following 20+ years’ providing professional services in operational, legal, compliance and regulatory roles across various sectors including the financial services in Guernsey.

Paul’s experience includes legal private practice, regulatory supervision experience, internal audit/ISO accreditation, board governance, and operational and regulatory compliance in various senior roles gained within industry and the financial services sector, and has a cultivated practical understanding of the funds, fiduciary, pensions, insurance and AML/CFT regulatory frameworks within Guernsey.

Paul is a dual qualified solicitor in Scots and English Law and holds relevant senior qualifications in governance, risk, and compliance. Paul is an Associate member of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland and Fellow member of the International Compliance Association.
